Missing family and flooded out in Oklahoma !

Well it has been a while since I have got to get on the Teerlink Blogger :( Way to much going on in the big town of Carnegie! If any of you watch the news you may have seen Oklahoma had its first HURRICANE! I slept rite through it ! The Daugherty House did not get it as bad or any where close to as bad as some of the other people in our area. My stinking camera is broke and the only one I have is on my phone, so I cant put pictures on here to show you. But any way there was 3 people that drowned in their van that night just 2 miles from the quarry. The van was swept of the road and then went under a small, I mean very small bridge and then into a pond or at that time a large lake. It was a sad deal. The quarry had 5 ft of water in the pit. My office had 2 1/2 in of mud and water in it. there is a water line on some of our rock piles that was like 2-4 ft up. Lots and lots of water all in about a 4 hr time period ! When you drive down our roads all you can see is dead grass on fence rows hay bales in the middle of dirt roads and highways. Some of the bales were carried over fences about 200-300 yards lots of big fields that used to be green and full of hay or cut wheat now just brown and muddy. When you go into the small town of Ft. Cobb you can see lots of carpet, furniture, peoples belongings needing to picked up to go to the dump. When we went to Cedar Lake to see dad, the bridge on the dirt road we take was completely washed away. We looked and found it about 150-200 yards from where it was! They are saying it will take up to five years to get our state close to where it was before the storm. So any way WHERE IS OUR FAMILY !!!?????!!!!!! How is our Grandma Ruby doing? I hope good ! The next one to talk to her let her know we love her from Oklahoma! Last night it was so so so funny Mattie got attacked by a bull frog! It scared her for a second but when she seen us all laughing she knew it was OK ! Well I guess I better get to work

News From Missouri

Ok everybody... sorry it took me so long to get this posted but when I got home from the hospital duty my computer had decided it was sick as well... so I had to get someone over here to save all my pictures and then I did a reformat so it's healthy once again. I took a few pictures at the hospital and some video that I'm going to try to get uploaded as well. I forgot to bring my camera when I went to see Granmda at Crystal and Aarons yesterday but when I go again I won't forget. These are the pictures I've got so far.

Me & Crystal after a "restful" night in the ICU waiting room... Can you tell we got plenty of sleep? :p

This is the result of too much hospital food!

This is Aaron patiently awaiting Calebs arrival... We thought he was gonna get run over.
Abraham opted to wait for Calb by the car away from the cars traveling at high speeds...

Yay Caleb finally gets here!!!

Grandpa's in a good mood despite sitting for hours

Grandma Ruby before her operation.

This is Grandma's monitor before surgery. We watched this constantly and when she had her fainting spells the heart monitor would drop to ZERO... It was really scary.

Grandma Ruby

Dear Teerlink Family,

Grandma Ruby is doing ok but she is still very weak and her heart rate is very low and her blood pressure is slowly getting lower. We have been told they will put her permanent pace maker in on Monday and hopefully she should be allowed to come home Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. They have said it's a pretty simple operation not seriously invasive. I am going back to be with her tonight and relieve Teela and Grandpa. Please pray for Grandma and her doctors and nurses. Pray for Grandpa to keep his strength up and everyone else who's going to be helping care for Grandma when she gets home. Pray for everyone traveling that they would have a safe trip.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good, For them who love God, For them who are the called, According to his purpose.

I will try to keep posted on here anything I can when I'm at home but I plan on being with Grandma as much as I can. I think Misty did a wonderful thing by sharing that story and I'm going to print if off and take it to Grandma. If anyone else has anything to add I will print your posts too and bring them to her. I love you all and God Bless!

Praying in Oklahoma

Hello Family
I'm sitting here at work thinking about Grandma Ruby, I wanted to think of a way for all of us far away who cant be at her side right now to let her know we love her and are thinking about her. I know she is probably to tiered to talk on the phone, so I thought I would get on here and write a few things that are on my mind. Then Misty for the first time becomes speechless? I got it! Favorite story, memory, or thought of Grandma Ruby! When I think of Grandma...........

I think of CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES! OH YEAH Nothing better than a couple warm chocolate chip pancakes on a cool spring morning right before a long day of horse back ridding with your good Ole Uncle Abraham! I think of long beautiful rows of pea's and I see Grandma at the end of them with one of her big silver bowls full of fresh pea's. I think I ate more fresh peas then I ever ate cooked! I remember Grandma saying be easy with my tomatoes just a couple little shovel fulls then plant them easily in the ground Misty Dawn. Put a little stick right there and show the vine where to go! I look up at grandma and say I thought you said these things grew under ground, Grandma looked down at me smiled and said No dear that is the potatoes over there! Those are red potatoes. Now take these peas on in to the house and try not to spill them. Grandma does the best french braid in the world! I loved it when she would braid my hair for me. It was always perfect! I remember the first time I came to Missouri she had one of those mushroom things growing on the counter. I thought that was the coolest thing in the world and before I left to go home to Mississippi she gave me the baby one to take home. When I think of Grandmas house I always think of the big family get together's and my favorite dinner American tacos! OHHH OHHH HOME MADE ROLLS!! not just any home made rolls Grandmas HOME MADE ROLLS ! On Turkey Day I don't even eat turkey I fill up on Grandmas rolls! I think of D-Tee's when I think of Grandma. It makes me miss the Ole station. Well I guess I need to let other people talk about Grandma and tell us there thoughts ! So I love ya Grandma and I hope you get to feeling better!

Hot Summer Fun!

Well this week is supposed to be super hot so it looks like we're going to be hanging out in the water or the air conditioning! Aunt Sonya and I had a yard sale this last weekend. It was the funnest yard sale I've ever had just cause I got to sit and talk to Sonya all day! I have to say Sarah is one smart cookie. She came to help with the yard sale and I was really impressed with what a wonderful young lady she is becoming. She is sure a huge help to Sonya and she'll make a great mommy and wife some day! She's a great gal.

Here's some of the recent pics I've taken of the kids lately just to add to the blog a bit. It's great to see Shem and Cheryl on the blog now :) I can't wait to see some pictures and hear how things are going with the family! :)

Love Ya'll

Now Monty can have babies and I can have a little kennel type thing. So far all the girls get along with the Monty Boy but not all the girls get along with each other. Right now I am bringing Fancy to work with me because Frisky and her do not get along! I got all three females from a kennel and they are scared of everything! Thier names are Frisky, Fancy and Fantashia! So I am calling all my dogs Misty's MFN Corgies cause im sure Mike will be sayin that to someone about my dogs! HE HE! Macy doesnt need much because it is not like real school. It kinda is. She is so excited! Mattie is finally talking clear for the most part Im not sure why she is so behing on the communicating thing but she is. It is probly cause Macy talks for her. Mike is on a bike kick! he thinks he needs one of those crotch rocket bikes. He has been callin and lookin all over for one. I kinda hope he dont find one. Those things look dangerouse. I got to ride my horse for the first time scence he hurt his leg the other day it was nice. I enjoyed it. I would like to do it more often. I think I will. I got the windshield on my truck fixed. It looks alot better without the whole in it! Well I guess I better get back to work! Ill talk at you later! ~MiStY~
